2. Why we use it (and legal bases)
- Providing the Service — creating your account, delivering lessons and tools, tracking your Token balance and progress (performance of a contract).
- Payments and fraud prevention — reconciling purchases with Paddle, preventing abuse of free Tokens (contract; legitimate interests).
- Communications — transactional emails (receipts, account notices); product news only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (contract; consent).
- Improvement and analytics — aggregated, privacy-friendly analytics to improve lessons and tools (legitimate interests; consent for non-essential cookies where required).
- Legal obligations — tax, accounting and responding to lawful requests.
We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
3. Who we share it with
- Paddle.com — Merchant of Record for payments, tax and refunds.
- Infrastructure providers — hosting, video streaming, database and email delivery, acting as processors under contract.
- AI providers — chart images and prompts you submit to the AI Chart Coach are sent to a model provider to generate the explanation and are not used to train their models under our agreement.

- Authorities — where required by law.
4. International transfers
We are established in the United States. If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, your data is transferred to the US and other countries under appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK Addendum, or providers certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
5. Retention

- Purchase records — 7 years, to meet tax and accounting obligations.
- Uploaded chart images — deleted within 30 days of the review, unless you save them to your journal.

6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent. EEA/UK residents may also complain to their data-protection authority. California residents have the rights to know, delete, correct and opt out of "sale" or "sharing" under the CCPA/CPRA; we do not sell or share personal data for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To exercise any right, email support@moonx.fr. We respond within 30 days (45 days under CCPA).
7. Security
We use encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords, access controls and regular reviews. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.
8. Children
The Service is for adults aged 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
